Chapter 10 of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, 1991 Edition, which was added to read:

Chapter 10: Emergency Procedure.

Town Council Action. In cases where it reasonably appears that there is immediate danger to the life or safety of any person unless a dangerous building is immediately repaired, secured, vacated or demolished, the Building Official shall report the facts to the Town Council of the Town of Cathlamet and the Town Council may cause a resolution to be passed authorizing the Building Official to affect the immediate repair, securing, vacation or demolition of such dangerous buildings shall be collected in the same manner as provided in Chapter 9.

is hereby amended to read as follows:

Chapter 10: Emergency Procedure.

Town Council Action. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this code, in cases where it reasonably appears that there is immediate danger to the life or safety of any person or property unless a dangerous building is immediately repaired, secured, vacated or demolished, the Building Official shall report the facts to the Town Council of the Town of Cathlamet and the Town Council may cause a resolution to be passed authorizing the Building Official to effect the immediate repair, securing, vacation or demolition of the dangerous building. The costs of the emergency repair, securing, vacation, or demolition of such dangerous buildings shall be collected in the same manner as provided in Chapter 9.
