The examiner shall be appointed by the mayor by professional services contract for an initial one-year term and serve at the will of the mayor’s discretion. The mayor may also appoint examiner(s) pro tem to serve in the event of the examiner’s absence for a similar term. Subsequent terms shall be for a period of one year unless a longer term is approved by the majority vote of the town council. (Ord. 641 § 1, 2020)
